5 stars for a date night or small group of friends. 3-4 stars if you go with a large group. Less stars because you will wait. Food is still great if you don't mind the wait.
The sushi is phenomenal! Best I've had around Pittsburgh. The Whale of a Roll is our favorite! The only downside is there is usually a wait and even after seating it does take awhile. But if you have some time, I highly recommend it.
They take a California roll and treat it special. The fiesta mermaid is one of my favorite rolls of all time. A good balance of spice and sweet. The food here is extremely fresh and consistently good. For garlic lovers get some garlic mayo on the side with your rolls, Soo good.
The manager however is what really iced the cake! He was so rude and couldn't have cared less about our poor experience! The food was good which is the only reason for a second star.
Fantastic sushi. Drinks are average. Service is hit and miss and talking to the manager is about as helpful as complaining to the urinal. Going here is a roll of the dice at best as far as how well you'll be treated. Prices are on par with your average sushi place. With drinks and sushi probably $80-100 for two people.
First time eating here, actually did takeout at 5pm on a Friday. Friendly waitress took my order, 20min pickup time. Ordered the Fiery Mermaid, Chiefs Crudo, Spicy Scallop Roll...all of it was delicious. Chief applied their take on each one, use of different ingredients than expected made it very enjoyable. I will order from here again and hopefully make the trip to dine in.
I don't think i have been this upset with a restaurant experience in my life! The service was awful! Had difficulty getting our drinks refilled, when we had questions they weren't answered, and our food took forever! They were more concerned with the takeout orders.
